Although the text on the home page is written in the plural sense, I must confess that this business is me, myself and I at the moment. I am not looking to become a huge corporation, this is simpIy something I enjoy doing and I look at it like an artist looks at their work – I get great satisfaction out of the finished product and a happy customer. And, yes, I make a few dollars to boot. That being said, the following information will be about me!
I graduated from Keene State College in 1983 with an Associate’s degree in Computer Studies. Although computers and the tech world did not end up to be my primary vocation it has been part of my life for many years. I’ve always had a love of all things “techie” – as a matter of fact calling me a Geek is a compliment to me!
I did my first web site about 10 years ago. It was for a subsidiary of the company I was working for. My contact there was so happy with the results, he asked me if I might be interested in developing a web site for his brothers produce company. I really enjoyed doing this on the side – it was a great feeling taking someone’s business up to that next level.
Since I wasn’t advertising my services there were no other offers coming my way. The only other site I created was for an internet gaming community I belonged to. That was about 4 years ago and working on that site really got me excited about getting back into the realm of the World Wide Web! But I was a little apprehensive about taking that step toward starting a business.
Then one day in 2007 I was approached by a friend who was very active in the local chapter of Altrusa International. She knew I had done a few web sites and her club was looking to have a web presence to help promote their community services. I was delighted at the prospect! After completing that site, another member of the Altrusa club approached me to see if I might be interested in creating a web site for the local plumbing company she worked for. I was totally hooked at that point! I truly enjoy the creation and development process that goes into a web site. After completing the site for Gouin Plumbing and Heating I received a call from someone who had seen the site and was looking to have a site developed for a local AKC Kennel Club. And then another call from a friend who was starting her own business. Things were moving along pretty fast for me – so I decided it was time to make this ‘business’ official – I had done a handful of sites and I didn’t even have a site of my own! So this site was my next endeavor.
Currently my skills are mostly self taught, but I am currently attending a web design classes for more formal training in this field. For that reason I am concentrating my efforts on informational web sites only. I am not equipped to develop secure ordering store front sites at this time.
My goal is to provide a quality web presence at an affordable price and my focus lies with small business, non-profit and personal web sites. As I said, I really do enjoy this process and hope you will consider me for your web site needs.
